Version 3.4 Preview Special Program Summary

The Genshin Version 3.4 preview livestream which held on Jan 6, 2023 has announced more details about the coming new events, characters and event wish. Let’s have a quick recap on it!

New Story Quest

Vultur Volans Chapter: Act I

• a story about the time of Alhaitham as the Acting Grand Sage after the departure of the Grand Sage, Azar

New Characters Showcase

Alhaitham

• an Akademiya Scribe who also serves as Actiing Grand Sage
• a character who is so self-absorbed and full of personality but still keeps a low profile
• he uses “Chisel-Light Mirrors” to attack his enemies

Yaoyao

• uses polearms in combat
• will send out her sidekick, a device called Yuegui during combat

New Banners (Event Wish)

Phase 1: Alhaitham, Xiao

• Alhaitham and Xiao will appear in the first phase of Event Wishes
• Yaoyao will appear in both of these event wishes and will enjoy a boosted drop rate

Phase 2: Hu Tao, Yelan

• Hu Tao and Yelan will have their drop rates boosted for the second phase of the event wishes

New Weapon

Light of Foliar Incision (Sword)

• a new 5-star sword will appear in the weapon event wish

New Area

Desert of Hadramaveth

• a new area in Sumeru
• belongs to the desert region of Sumeru
• the art uses tornadoes as an anchor point, making the whole terrain look like a vortex

New Boss

Setekh Wenut

• a predator lurking under the golden sands in some parts of the area
• Wenut relies on sounds and vibration to track down its prey
• it can use the power of Anemo and can go into a floating state

New Events

The Exquisite Night Chimes

• Travelers may encounter surprise guests from a far away land
• Together with Ganyu, you can listen to Cloud Retainer’s old stories from a long time ago

Fortuitous Invitation

• you can invite one of nine 4-star Liyue characters to join your team
• it includes the new companion, Yaoyao

Almighty Arataki Extraordinary and Exhilarating Extreme Beetle Brawl

• an event organized by Itto
• Beetle fighting is a sport that requries a lot of skill to against opponents of all sizes and abilities

Warrior’s Spirit

• A martial arts competition in Inazuma organized by the Yashiro Commission
• Traveler will not be able to use Elements in this challenge and have to fight by parrying and using sword techniques

Special Outfit of Ayaka

• Ayaka will wear a special outfit for the exhibition match against a special envoy
• at the appointed occasion, you will also be able to enjoy Ayaka performing her swordsmanship
• this costumes will be available in the in-game store after the Version 3.4 update at a discounted price for a limited time

Second Blooming

• a team challenge event will be available for a limited time in Version 3.4
• you will need to form 3 teams and complete 3 consecutive combat rounds
• Lisa‘s new outfit, “A Sobriquet Under Shade”, will be offered for free upon competing all the stages and reaching the target scores

Some Updates about TCG (Trading Card Game)

• “Heated Battle Mode” will be available for a limited time in Version 3.4 and will be available on a regular basis in future versions. Each edition will enable a special rule
• The special rule enabled in this Version 3.4 edition will be: Skip the Elemental Dice Roll Phase and go straight to getting 8 Omni Element Dice
